Sebastian Schlencht-Wöhnert, a bank teller in Potsdam, Germany, leads a dull life until a zombie outbreak in Nevada captures his attention. At night, he dreams of zombies while producing YouTube videos on safecracking that barely get any views. That is until a mysterious figure invites him to an underground safecracking competition, changing his life forever. This leads him to meet Gwendoline Starr, a seasoned jewel thief, who recruits him for a daring heist involving the legendary locksmith, Hans Wagner’s safes.

As Interpol closes in, Gwendoline and Sebastian hijack the last safe in Europe during its transfer from a casino, outsmarting both the authorities and Brad and Rolph’s plans. A chase ensues, with Sebastian successfully cracking the safe in a lorry, only to face off against an unstable Brad and Rolph. Gwendoline takes charge, ensuring their capture before fleeing with Sebastian.

In a final showdown in Hallstatt, Austria, Gwendoline sacrifices herself to save Sebastian from Delacroix, leaving him with a promise of reunion. Sebastian escapes, determined to find his way back to Gwendoline one day.
