EuroTrip Movie Plot Overview

In the town of Hudson, Ohio, Scott “Scotty” Thomas is heartbroken after being dumped by his girlfriend, Fiona, right after high school graduation. His best friend, Cooper Harris, suggests that Scotty visit his German pen pal, Mieke, whom Scotty had mistaken for a boy named Mike. Realizing his feelings for Mieke, Scotty decides to travel to Europe with Cooper to apologize in person.

Scotty and Cooper’s European journey begins in London, where they encounter a group of rowdy Manchester United football hooligans. After a wild night out, they wake up on a bus bound for Paris with the hooligans. In Paris, they meet their classmates, Jenny and Jamie, who join them on their quest to find Mieke in Berlin.

Amsterdam Misadventures

While in Amsterdam, Jamie is robbed, leaving the group penniless and without passports or train tickets. They try to hitchhike to Berlin but end up in Bratislava due to a language mix-up. Making the best of the situation, they enjoy the nightlife and eventually make their way to Berlin.

Reunion in Rome

Upon reaching Rome, the group learns that Mieke is touring Vatican City before embarking on a summer trip. In a comedic twist of events, Scotty mistakenly triggers the Vatican bell, causing chaos. Eventually, he reunites with Mieke, confesses his love, and shares a romantic encounter with her in a confessional booth.
