In 1985 Mexico City, Heinrich Treadway attempts to evade capture by the authorities and a dangerous man named Bathurst. Treadway, along with his associates Abel and Leona, discuss a mysterious object known as “the Egg,” which Treadway had stolen from Bathurst. As Treadway prepares for the worst, he imparts a cryptic message to Abel, instructing him to “look inside” in case he does not survive. In a daring escape attempt, Treadway jumps from his vehicle off a bridge, landing on a crane 150 feet away. However, his hopes are shattered when Bathurst arrives on the scene and ruthlessly ends the lives of Abel and Leona.

The Nihilists devised a sinister plan to trap the souls of the Infinites in computer chips, while possessing a destructive egg-shaped weapon capable of annihilating all life on Earth.
