Peter, drawn by a letter from Kayako, stumbled upon the gruesome scene and met a tragic end himself.

In 2004, the Williams family from America moved into the Saeki house, unknowingly stepping into a nightmare. While Matt embraced his new home, his wife Jennifer and mother Emma felt a sense of unease creeping in. Jennifer struggled with culture shock and isolation, unable to communicate in Japanese, while Emma sensed a malevolent presence lingering in the house.
